This course will be delivered in simplified Chinese 中英双语 and taught in Mandarin. English is used for specific wine terms. The course materials and assessment will be in written simplified Chinese.
The WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines explores the wines of the world and includes a wine tasting in each class. The program has been designed to provide vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the liquor industry with little knowledge of the broad range of international alcoholic beverages. It is ideal for those seeking a good level of product knowledge, job skills and competencies in handling international wines. The program is also appropriate for those not employed in the alcoholic beverages industry but who wish to expand their knowledge of international wine.
A one-hour closed-book examination comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions.
It is a requirement that the WSET specification document is read before you pay. You can find this document under 'More info'.
The Academy offers WSET Level 2 Award in Wines in a number of formats throughout the year.
You will need to study at home each week to successfully pass the examination. Please choose your course format carefully to suit your learning style. Whilst the intensive course may look convenient it is often the hardest format and is offered for people who either live in country areas or have limited time to complete the course. Contact the Academy if you would like to know the dates of future courses that may not be currently displayed on our website. As part of your enrolment, you receive a Study Pack and, (for some courses) a set of 6 tasting glasses. Once you have received your ‘Course Confirmation’ email, the Study Pack will be available for collection from TAFE NSW, Ryde Campus.
