Italian Wines Simplified

This course provides an overview of Italian wines. The course covers the main wine growing regions of Italy and discusses common Italian label terms. A two hour on-line connected class will be held each week with an Italian wine specialist. Students will taste two wines along with their tutor each week. This course is suitable for members of the hospitality and retail wine industry and wine hobbyists who wish to gain a basic understanding of Italian wines.

Wine samples for class

Students are required to purchase their own wines to fully participate in class. The following wine samples for class can be obtained in one convenient ‘Italian wine simplified 6 pack” from the following website https://www.vinoitaliano.com.au/product-line/mixed-doz/intro-to-italy-six-pack-.html
The pack contains the following wines: Soave, Valpolicella, Nebbiolo, Chianti, Vermentino and Primitivo.

Alternatively you can purchase your own samples of these Italian wines. You can purchase your wines immediately. However, you may wish to wait until the course is confirmed to run before purchasing your wines.

During the COVID-19 emergency we are offering connected learning (on line) classes. Connected learning is when students are learning with a teacher and each other via web conferencing technology as part of a virtual classroom.
