WSET short course in Sake in demand

by Sydney Wine Academy | May 03, 2017
The world of Sake and Sake-making fascinates those who love wine including sommeliers, wine media, premium wine retailers and consumers.

Since 2007 the International Wine Challenge has included a Japanese Sake category and each year they select a champion/trophy Sake just as they do for wine.

The Court of Master Sommeliers periodically include Sake as a part of their education program. So it not surprising that Sake is fast becoming a must-know topic for all beverage professionals.

In response to the global demand for knowledge the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) developed the Level 3 Sake course in 2014.

With Sake educator Yukino Ochiai the Sydney Wine Academy offers the WSET Level 3 Award in Sake course in Australia to educate both the wine trade and consumers about Japanese Sake.

Yukino Ochiai, Director of Déjà vu Sake Company is the first and only certified Level 3 Sake educator in Australia, and she is very focused on sake education and training.

Since its establishment in April 2012, Deja vu Sake Company, have been actively involved in Sake education and professional training, and were a gold sponsor at the last Court of Master Sommeliers to support sommelier education in Australia.

This four-day course runs is run at our CBD location and concludes with the WSET Level 3 examination.
